Hello.

I have been taking photos for wonderful clients for over twelve years now. My background is actually in graphic design and fine arts. I studied Art History and Visual Arts at Uvic before completing my Graphic Design + Illustration Diploma at Capilano College a few years later. I worked at an award-winning graphic design firm in Vancouver for a few years before starting my own business. At that point, I began as a freelance designer... and then I picked up a digital SLR camera for the first time. My kids were little, so naturally I wanted to capture all their sweet, silly moments and milestones. But it was really light, and all it's amazing nuances, that I fell in love with. Capturing beautiful lights and shadows, and bits and pieces of our daily life became a passion. My design business slowly turned into a photography business and continues to feed my creative soul and bring amazing clients and friends into my life.

When I am not taking photos, you can find me running, riding or hiking through the deep green Lynn Valley forest, skiing on snowy peaks (my true love) or surfing on the wild west coast. Or I may be gardening, knitting or making some pottery (my latest passion). It's no wonder I am still trying to figure out how to fit everything into my week. ; )
